“Kopetzky & Kanipsia together at last.”

Dick Kanipsia (James Caan) gets out of prison wanting one thing, the small fortune in embezzled money somebody stashed before he went in. Howard Zieff sends him after it with a bandleader named Barry Fenaka (Peter Boyle), Barry's doting wife, and a kooky drifter, through trailer camps, bingo halls and laundromats, with someone tailing them the whole way. Dick keeps driving toward the cash, an ex-con who can't tell who is following him.
