Small Crimes

In his hometown, Joe Denton (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) steps out of prison after six years for attempted murder, a former cop with a record and a name people remember. He moves back in with his parents, Joe Sr. (Robert Forster) and Irma (Jacki Weaver), and tries to make a clean start, but the old mess he left behind keeps finding him. E.L. Katz plays the awkwardness and the violence in the same flat, deadpan tone.
