Smart People

“Sometimes the smartest people have the most to learn”

Professor Lawrence Wetherhold (Dennis Quaid) teaches at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh and treats his own brilliance as settled fact. At home he cannot manage his daughter Vanessa (Elliot Page), his son James (Ashton Holmes), or his adopted brother Chuck (Thomas Haden Church), who moves in. Noam Murro puts a doctor, Janet Hartigan (Sarah Jessica Parker), in Lawrence's path, and she is the one person who might get past his guard.
