“The Bandit is back and better than ever!”

It's 1980, and the Bandit (Burt Reynolds) has a new job: haul an elephant from Florida to Texas. Hal Needham sends him down the same open highways as before, and Sheriff Buford T. Justice (Jackie Gleason) is already after him again, with Cledus (Jerry Reed) and Doc (Dom DeLuise) along for the run. Gleason plays the lawman and two relatives, and the chase between him and the Bandit is the oldest grudge on the road.
