Smugglers

“Unload. Procure. Deceive.”

In Kunchon in the 1970s, the sea that fed the village stops paying, and the women who dive for seafood without any equipment start taking on cargo that never appears in a ledger. Choon-ja (Kim Hye-soo) and her best friend Jin-sook (Yum Jung-ah) go in beside Jin-sook's brother and Hammer (Park Jeong-min), and Ryoo Seung-wan keeps the whole thing small and grainy. What lingers are the two women under the surface, holding their breath in the dark water.
