Softie

Johnny Jung (Aliocha Reinert) is ten, lives in Forbach in northeastern France, and notices far more than a boy his age is supposed to. He watches the ups and downs of his young single mother's love life with a curiosity that his tough neighborhood has no use for. Samuel Theis brings in Jean Adamski (Antoine Reinartz), a new teacher from the big city who believes in Johnny, and the boy isn't sure what to make of the attention.
