“How do you stop a killer that can read your mind?”

John Clancy (Anthony Hopkins) is a retired doctor who sees what is coming before it happens, and has stayed out of other people's business for years. The FBI pulls him back in through Agent Joe Merriweather (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Agent Katherine Cowles (Abbie Cornish), who need his help tracking a serial killer. Afonso Poyart sets Clancy against Charles Ambrose (Colin Farrell), and the longer the case runs, the more it risks costing Clancy.
