Solaris

(1972)Directed by Andrei Tarkovsky167 min · PGDrama, Science Fiction, Mystery
“The planet where nightmares come true…”

The scientists on the station above Solaris have stopped working, and one of them is dead. Kris Kelvin (Donatas Banionis), a psychologist, is sent to find out why, and meets Dr. Snaut (Jüri Järvet) and a crew gone strange with grief. Andrei Tarkovsky builds the story around the ocean beneath them, which seems to give back the people its watchers can't forget.
