“How far will you go for a second chance?”

The crew's messages from the research station orbiting the planet Solaris have stopped making sense, and no one on Earth can say why. Chris Kelvin (George Clooney), a psychologist grieving a loss of his own, is sent to find out what happened. Steven Soderbergh puts him aboard with Gordon (Viola Davis) and Snow (Jeremy Davies), and then Rheya (Natascha McElhone) is there too, standing in front of a man who cannot turn away from her.
