Sole

Lena (Sandra Drzymalska) is seven months pregnant and has agreed to sell the baby to Fabio (Bruno Buzzi) and his wife Bianca, who cannot have a child of their own. To get around the Italian adoption law, Fabio's nephew Ermanno (Claudio Segaluscio) has to pass as the father, so the two strangers move in together and play a couple. Carlo Sironi, in his first feature, keeps the camera close to both of them in the small, tense space between a deal and a delivery.
