Matt Taylor (Kevin James) arrives in Rome for his wedding, suitcase in hand and a honeymoon package already paid for. When his fiancée leaves him at the altar, he decides to take the trip alone anyway, finding himself among other couples on the same itinerary and drawn to Gia (Nicole Grimaudo), who runs a café in the city. What he stands to lose by staying closed off to connection is far greater than what he's already lost.
