Solomon and Sheba

“Only once in 3000 years... anything like...”

Solomon (Yul Brynner), a poet and the son of the dying King David, wants to rule Israel with mercy and one God, and a vision names him heir over his hot-headed brother Adonijah (George Sanders). Furious, Adonijah leaves the court swearing he will be king, while Pharaoh (David Farrar) and Sheba (Gina Lollobrigida) bargain over how to corrupt Solomon for their own gain. King Vidor's story puts a throne, a kingdom's faith and a young king's resolve at risk all at once.
