Something in the Air

Gilles (Clément Métayer) is a high-school student in 1970s France who wants to paint, but the political unrest around him keeps pulling him into street demonstrations with his friends. Olivier Assayas follows him through the pull between loyalty to that circle and his own ambitions, and into his love for Christine (Lola Créton). Gilles keeps one hand on the cause and the other on his sketchbook, and he cannot yet tell which of them he is holding on to.
