Somewhere in Time
“Someday in the past he will find her...”
On the opening night of his first play, the young writer Richard Collier (Christopher Reeve) is approached by an elderly woman who begs him to come back to her. He cannot shake it, and the search leads him to Elise McKenna (Jane Seymour), a famous stage actress from the early twentieth century. Jeannot Szwarc films Collier's obsession with a soft, unhurried patience, as if the story had all the time in the world.
