Son of the Pink Panther

“Inspector Clouseau's biggest mistake lives on!”

Gendarme Jacques Gambrelli (Roberto Benigni) is a clumsy young French officer who does not yet know he is the illegitimate son of Inspector Clouseau. When Princess Yasmin (Debrah Farentino) is kidnapped, he is sent after her, with Commissioner Dreyfus (Herbert Lom) watching. Blake Edwards, in the last film he made before retiring, treats the Pink Panther series as an inheritance, the way a bumbling father's talent for disaster passes down to his son.
