Song One

“A moment can change everything.”

An accident leaves Henry Ellis (Ben Rosenfield) in a coma, and his estranged sister Franny (Anne Hathaway) comes back to New York to sit by his bed. She starts retracing his life as a young musician and finds his favorite singer, James Forester (Johnny Flynn), playing the Brooklyn clubs. In her first feature, Kate Barker-Froyland shows how people reach each other through songs when they can't say it to one another.
