Dr. Robotnik (Junpei Takiguchi) has been thrown out of the Land of Darkness by Metal Robotnik, and he turns up in front of Sonic (Masami Kikuchi) with a warning. The Robot Generator has been sabotaged and will blow Planet Freedom apart. Sonic doesn't move until Sara (Mika Kanai), the President's daughter, asks him to, and Kazunori Ikegami directs the 1996 two-part OVA at full speed from there.
