Sons of the Desert

(1933)Directed by William A. Seiter65 minComedy
“THEIR NEW FULL-LENGTH FEATURE PICTURE!”

Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy are two grown men who answer to their wives, Betty (Dorothy Christy) and Lottie (Mae Busch), and want very badly to go to the lodge convention. William A. Seiter's film has them invent a doctor's order for a sea voyage, a story Stan holds together with all the confidence of a man who has forgotten it. Under the schemes and the lodge hats, it's about marriage as a household where somebody is always being fooled.
