Sörensen Catches Fire

In the Frisian countryside, where Inspector Sörensen (Bjarne Mädel) has retreated from the city, the nights bring insomnia and a loneliness he can't medicate away. On one dark country road he nearly hits a blind, underfed young woman in a nightgown, and her story opens onto murder and religious fanaticism among villagers who want him gone. Mädel, who also directs, plays a man trying to quiet his own anxiety while the case closes in.
