Agnes (Eva Victor) is a literature professor at her old college, still living in the New England house she once shared with her best friend. Lydie (Naomi Ackie) has moved to New York and is expecting a baby, while Agnes can't get past the bad thing that happened to her years ago. Victor, directing for the first time, lets the jokes and the silence sit in the same rooms.
