Sound and Fury

In a school in the suburbs of Paris, thirteen-year-old Bruno (Vincent Gasperitsch) spends his days alone with his imagination while his mother works and his grandmother is dead. His one friend is Jean-Roger (François Négret), who comes from a home where nobody checks on him and who torments their teacher (Fabienne Babe) for fun. Brisseau, who taught at a school in Bagnolet, films the classroom and the boys' friendship with the plainness of someone who was there.
