Southland Tales

“This is the way the world ends.”

On the eve of July 4, 2008, Los Angeles is close to collapse, and an action star named Boxer Santaros (Dwayne Johnson) wakes with no memory of who he is. His path crosses Krysta Now (Sarah Michelle Gellar), an adult film star developing her own reality show, and Ronald Taverner (Seann William Scott), a Hermosa Beach cop who holds the key to a conspiracy. Richard Kelly makes the city's celebrity, war and entertainment all feel like one machine.
