“She's missing.”

Scott (Val Kilmer), a government agent who bends the rules to get results, is sent to find the missing daughter of a high-ranking official. He works the case alongside Curtis (Derek Luke), a young recruit, and answers to Stoddard (William H. Macy). David Mamet writes the dialogue in clipped, procedural fragments, so the investigation moves forward in short orders and flat replies.
