Spasms

“You scream, you expand, you explode. A new source of evil is discovered and is out of control.”

Dr. Tom Brasilian (Peter Fonda) is a researcher with a personal stake in snakes and a good reason to stay away from them. When a gigantic serpent is captured on a remote island and shipped to an American college for experimentation, he finds himself drawn in beside Jason Kincaid (Oliver Reed), the man who wants it studied. William Fruet, adapting Michael Maryk and Brent Monahan's novel Death Bite, keeps the pace tight and the animal close.
