Speak Easily

“See it and laugh to your heart's content!”

In 1932, Professor Post (Buster Keaton) is a sheltered scholar who gets pulled out of his quiet life and into a Broadway musical full of chorus girls. Jimmy Durante plays James, and Edward Sedgwick directs Keaton and Durante together for the first of their comedies. What plays on screen is a pairing of two performers whose humor comes from the body and the voice, a bookish man and a loud one.
