“Fake news. Real disaster.”

A news radio station in New York sends two men to cover a rebel uprising in South America: Frank Bonneville (Eric Bana), the celebrated reporter, and Albert Finch (Ricky Gervais), the technician who runs his equipment. When things go wrong before they ever leave, they decide to fake their own kidnapping and hide out in New York instead. Gervais plays Albert as a meek man whose wife, Eleanor (Vera Farmiga), watches the story unfold from home.
