Spell

“Evil tales have their roots.”

Marquis T. Woods (Omari Hardwick) just wants to get home to his family, but his plane goes down in rural Appalachia and he wakes up in a stranger's house. Eloise (Loretta Devine) and Earl (John Beasley), the elderly couple who found him, set about nursing him back with remedies older than anything he knows. Mark Tonderai keeps the camera close and the rooms small, so the house presses in on Marquis as he begins to doubt them.
