“A chance encounter. A dream come true. A man would do anything for a girl like Miranda”

Jeff Mills (Tim Daly), a Los Angeles attorney, wants nothing more than to get out of the office at a decent hour. One night he and a colleague step in when a young woman is being beaten by her boyfriend, and she turns out to be Miranda Reed (Kelly Preston). Janet Greek follows the two of them as they fall for each other, with Jeff's secretary warning him off at every turn.
