“Beyond the sealed door was the last undiscovered treasure in Egypt. And it's all hers - if she can get out alive!”

Erica Baron (Lesley-Anne Down), an Egyptologist, arrives in Egypt for the trip she has planned for years and walks straight into a murder, a theft of antiquities and a rumored mummy's curse. Franklin J. Schaffner sends her through the markets and tombs, where every helpful stranger has a price. The one she cannot read is Akmed Khazzan (Frank Langella), whose attention she is never sure she wants.
