Spider

Vita (Aurelija Anuzhite) is a young woman who agrees to sit for an artist as the Virgin Mary. Vasili Mass follows her through the sittings, where the painter's strange hold on her stirs urges she has kept buried, and her nights fill with spiders and other grotesque images. The film keeps Vita, her Mother (Mirdza Martinsone) and the painter in one tight, uneasy triangle, and the pull between the three of them is what the fear runs on.
