“There's a hero in all of us.”

Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) is worn out. He's late for everything, behind on rent, and still can't tell Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst) how he feels, so he decides to stop being Spider-Man. Then Doc Ock (Alfred Molina) starts wrecking the city, and Harry Osborn (James Franco) nurses a grudge of his own. Sam Raimi stages the action like a comic book come loose, the camera swinging along with the hero.
