After a space shuttle crash-lands, Spider-Man (Christopher Daniel Barnes) comes away carrying a living alien substance that bonds to his suit and sharpens his powers. The longer he wears it, the more it changes him, and he feels a pull toward evil he did not have before. Bob Richardson animates the fight in the suit's black, but the image the film builds toward is a discarded costume, left behind and waiting for a new host.
