“It's ELVIS with his foot on the gas and no brakes on the fun!!!”

In 1966 California, Mike McCoy (Elvis Presley) fronts a band by night and races cars when he can. Three women are after him, among them the heiress Cynthia Foxhugh (Shelley Fabares) and the writer Diana St. Clair (Diane McBain), and Norman Taurog stages the chase as a string of songs and parties. Under the pop tunes, Mike has to decide whether he belongs to the stage, the track, or a woman.
