Splice

“She's not human...not entirely.”

Elsa Kast (Sarah Polley) and Clive Nicoli (Adrien Brody) are young, rebellious scientists who want to push their gene-splicing work past what the law allows. They add human DNA to their animal samples, and what grows from it is Dren (Delphine Chanéac), who develops from a deformed infant into a winged human-chimera. Vincenzo Natali keeps the focus on the couple, who raise her in secret and have no idea what they have taken on.
