“Homeland has kidnapped Danny's mind. Only this man can steal it back...for $10,000 cash, no questions asked.”

Danny Stetson (Michael O'Keefe), a college athlete, has dropped his old life to join a youth-oriented cult led by Kirklander (Peter Fonda). His parents, Diana (Elizabeth Ashley) among them, hire a deprogrammer, Charles Pratt (James Woods), to take him back by force. Ted Kotcheff keeps the camera close on the family as they argue, bargain and plead.
