When an English duke dies, his estate and his business pass to an American, Henry Bullock (Rick Moranis), who is taken to be the long-lost son the duke believed he had. Tommy Butterfly Rainbow Peace Patel (Eric Idle), an Englishman raised to think he is Indian, comes to suspect that the title is really his. Robert Young sets the two men against each other, and Tommy wants back the name, the money and the woman he lusts after.
