“Love is a monster.”

Evan (Lou Taylor Pucci) is a young man in a personal tailspin who leaves the United States for Italy with no plan beyond getting away. Directors Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson put him in the path of Louise (Nadia Hilker), a woman with a primordial secret she keeps from him. He pursues her anyway, and Hilker plays her at the center of the frame, easy and warm, the summer haze settling over her.
