In Paris, Suzanne (Suzanne Lindon) is sixteen and bored by the students her age, walking the same route to school each day past a theater. One afternoon she notices Raphaël (Arnaud Valois), an older actor, and starts finding reasons to pass by again. Lindon directs and plays the lead, and Suzanne keeps choosing him, sure that this is the grown-up life she has been waiting for.
