Spring Fever

“Drifting bodies… raging desires.”

Luo Haitao (Chen Sicheng) is hired to follow a married man named Jiang Cheng (Qin Hao) and report on his affairs. Instead he ends up in one with him, while his girlfriend Li Jing (Tan Zhuo) is pulled into their drunken nights. Lou Ye shot this in Nanjing despite a five-year filmmaking ban, and the film stays with the three of them, lit by the city after dark.
