St. Elmo's Fire

“The passion burns deep.”

Seven friends fresh out of college keep showing up at the same bar and the same apartments, refusing to admit the party is over. Billy Hicks (Rob Lowe) plays saxophone and avoids every responsibility, while Kirby Keger (Emilio Estevez) waits tables and pines after a woman who barely notices him. Joel Schumacher watches them lean on one another through their first jobs and debts, and the friendship that has held them together begins to pull at the seams.
