Stage Fright

(1950)Directed by Alfred Hitchcock110 minThriller
“Love held its breath as sudden terror held the stage!”

Eve Gill (Jane Wyman) is a struggling actress at drama school, and when her friend Jonathan Cooper (Richard Todd) is accused of killing the husband of the entertainer Charlotte Inwood (Marlene Dietrich), she sets out to clear him. Alfred Hitchcock sends her through London's theatre world. Everyone here is playing a part for someone, and the performances matter as much as the facts.
