Dallas (Ann-Margret), a bar girl run out of town, climbs aboard a stagecoach bound for Cheyenne with a drunken doctor (Bing Crosby), a gambler, a liquor salesman and a banker who has decided to embezzle. Gordon Douglas remakes the John Ford picture in color, shared among a crowd of billed stars with no single lead. Every passenger carries a secret, and the road ahead of them is long enough that nobody gets to keep it.
