Sophie Green (Brianna Joy Chomer) is a teenage girl whose life is saved by Albert Beck (Eric Roberts), the heart surgeon who operates on her. Once she recovers, he starts to flirt with her, and her father Jim (Jon Briddell) does not believe what she tells him. Doug Campbell keeps the camera close on the surgeon's attentions so the unease builds slowly through ordinary scenes.
