In the summer of 1959, four boys in Castle Rock, Oregon set out through the woods to find the dead body of a missing kid. Gordie (Wil Wheaton), Chris (River Phoenix), Teddy (Corey Feldman), and Vern (Jerry O'Connell) are bound by friendship and the kind of restlessness that makes a corpse seem like an adventure. What they find on that journey is less important than what they lose when the world pulls them apart.
