“They don't make 'em like they used to.”

Val (Al Pacino) walks out of prison after 28 years for killing a crime boss's son, and his old partner Doc (Christopher Walken) is waiting at the gate. They find Hirsch (Alan Arkin) and spend the night going back to the places they used to run, trying to make up for lost time. Fisher Stevens shoots the three of them close and unhurried, letting the talk and the old banter carry the evening.
