Standing Tall

Malony Ferrandot (Rod Paradot) is six when a judge first sees him, and the film follows him until he is eighteen, a boy in and out of trouble with the law. Emmanuelle Bercot keeps close to his anger as he moves through the system and its courtrooms. The judge (Catherine Deneuve) and a caseworker, Yann (Benoît Magimel), keep showing up for him, and he does not know what to do with that.
