Standing Up, Falling Down

“A comedy about second chances.”

Scott (Ben Schwartz) is a stand-up comic who has failed in Los Angeles and moved back home to Eastern Long Island with nothing to show for it. At a local bar he meets Marty (Billy Crystal), a charming dermatologist who drinks too much and talks to him like an old friend. Matt Ratner directs from Peter Hoare's script and keeps the film small, set among bars, family kitchens and the town Scott left.
