“The battle for paradise has begun.”

Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) and the crew of the Enterprise break with Starfleet command after learning of a plot to seize a planet whose rings regenerate anyone who lives there. The Federation and the Son'a, led by Ad'har Ru'afo (F. Murray Abraham), want the Ba'ku's world for themselves. Jonathan Frakes, who also plays Commander Riker, directs the whole ensemble, Data (Brent Spiner) and Worf (Michael Dorn) included, at a steady run.
