“Every generation has a story.”

A map to the missing Luke Skywalker sends the Resistance, led by General Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher), into a race against the First Order, the Empire's cold successor. Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) get pulled in alongside the pilot Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), with Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) hunting them thirty years after Return of the Jedi. J.J. Abrams revives the series with practical sets and desert locations, so it feels built by hand.
