“Woody Allen in his most amusing and witty effort!”

Sandy Bates (Woody Allen) sits through a weekend retrospective of his films, and the women he has loved keep drifting back into his head: Dorrie (Charlotte Rampling), Daisy (Jessica Harper), Isobel (Marie-Christine Barrault). Each memory is the source of a scene the audience is there to celebrate. Allen shoots it in black and white, a nod to Fellini's 8½, while Sandy, the famous one in the room, cannot work out what he actually wants from any of them.
